Who knew over 20 years ago when Dave Miller first visited Mexico that it would become his adopted country.
Since that first visit, Dave has facilitated hundreds of groups traveling in Mexico. It takes a special person to be able to bridge the divide between the to cultures. Equally at home in the typical suburban three bedroom home in the United States or the small block home in a village in Mexico, Dave is that guy.
For the family who has never traveled in Mexico, to the person who is ready to venture off the typical tourist trail and explore something new, Dave Miller's Mexico brings a unique perspective. It is a perspective gleaned from years of travel and experiences that few will ever match.
Join him on his journey and experience Mexico as few have, step by step as he seeks to share the culture, the art, the food and the richest resource of all, the people of Mexico with you.
Nestled in downtown Las Vegas, in an area known as the East Fremont District, sits La Comida, an appropriately titled restaurant serving up casual Mexican food and drinks in an atmosphere more attuned to Mexico City than Sin City. I have had my eye on this place for months now, […]
For the sixth straight World Cup, Mexico has advanced out of the group stage. Only Germany and Brazil carry a longer streak of advancing. Still, Mexico lags behind those titans in part because in all five previous attempts during this streak, Mexico has been beaten in the round of 16 […]

Coffee. It is such a simple word, yet in Mexico, incredibly important, because seemingly almost everyone in this great country drinks coffee. When I first started visiting Mexico over 20 years ago I was not a big coffee drinker. Often siting around a table in someone’s house, coffee would be […]
I’ve known Fernando Lopez of Guelaguetza Restaurant in Los Angeles for a few years now. Recently we sat down in Oaxaca’s Zocalo for an ice cold beer on a hot day and lots of conversation. As it often does when you are talking in Oaxaca, we soon were focusing on […]
Mexico for me has always revolved around people. Secluded beaches are nice, but I’ll take a table on the zocalo with friends any day. The problem is if you are not well versed in the culture and language, you can get your self into some dicey situations. That happens when […]
Bracketed by Memorial Day and Labor Day, and with a little 4th of July in the center, summer is grilling season here in the United States. That means it’s time to get your barbecue cleaned up and prepared for a good stretch of home grilling. Unfortunately, if you are like […]
